April
is National Poetry Month and so we asked ourselves; what can we do in our community to have some fun,
talk about the earth and get creative all at the same time? Then it hit us like
falling fruit!! Eureka!! A Poetree Competition! What better way for our
community to be entertained while promoting the benefits of preserving our
earth??!! So here’s how it works:-
· Poetry themes - the earth, how
we can preserve the earth for all its inhabitants and the beauty of the natural
environment
· Poems should be no more than 30
lines
· Submit poems with the title and
your name in caps
·
Poems will be judged by you the readers, so the
composition with the most likes and shares will win a customized basket we’ve
created just for this occasion
·
Submissions will be accepted from today, Saturday April 13th
up to 8 pm EST on Sunday April 21st.
·
The winner will be announced on our page on Earth Day - April 22nd
·
Only one submission
per person is allowed
·
Do not submit images,
photos, graphics, videos, etc. along with the poem, Remember this is a writing
competition, so let your words paint the picture J
·
Any submission which
violates any of the above will be disqualified to ensure fairness to all
participants
· Submissions that endorse
violence, discrimination, contain obscene language or any other form of
offensive speech will be immediately disqualified
